Jordan Child and Emilee Skinner have been named this week’s Cache Valley Media Group Prep Players of the Week, presented by McDonalds. Child, a forward for the Logan boys basketball team, is the boys player of the week with Emilee Skinner, a guard on Ridgeline’s girls basketball team, being named the girls player of the week. Child scored a career-high 31 points in the Grizzlies’ 73-53 win over Spanish Fork, also grabbing 12 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. He followed that up with 24 points in Logan’s thrilling 55-53 win over Woods Cross. Skinner also posted back-to-back games with at least 20 points. She scored 26 points alongside six rebounds, five assists, two steals and four blocks in Ridgeline’s 76-63 win over Grantsville. Then, in a low-scoring 46-42 win over Lone Peak, Skinner still put up 22 points to go with nine rebounds and five assists.
