Utah State makes two basketball signings official, receive third commit on Monday | Sports

LOGAN — Utah State has seemingly completed its 2025-26 men’s basketball roster thanks to the addition of three players, two of which were officially added Monday and the third announcing his commitment the same day. Garry Clark, Zach Keller and MJ Collins will all be joining the Aggies this next season as recruits via the transfer portal.

Clark, a 6-foot-8 transfer forward from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, announced his commitment exactly a week before USU made it official with a Monday afternoon press release. In the same release, though, the Aggies announced a previously unknown target, the 6-foot-10 University of Utah center Zach Keller. Then, less than an hour after the Aggies’ announcement, 6-foot-5 Vanderbilt transfer wing MJ Collins posted on social media that he was committing to USU.

Utah State head coach Jerrod Calhoun provided comments on the two officially announced transfer additions. First up, Clark, who averaged 14.9 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in helping the Islanders to a 20-win season last year.

“We are excited to welcome Garry to the Aggie family,” Calhoun said. “Garry brings a winning pedigree to Utah State, something we greatly value in the recruiting process. His ability to play multiple positions from the forward spot will give our frontcourt a major boost. His physicality and his ability to score and rebound will help him make an immediate impact in the Mountain West.”

And of Keller, who averaged 2.8 points and 1.4 rebounds last year with the Utes, Calhoun spoke highly of his experience in the ACC and Big 12.

“We are thrilled to welcome Zach to the Aggie family,” Calhoun said. “Zach has competed at the highest levels of college basketball for three seasons in the ACC and Big 12. Zach’s skill set fits our style of play perfectly, as a player who can be impactful both inside and out. We look forward to seeing Zach thrive in our system.”

Collins averaged 7.4 points and 2.3 rebounds for Vanderbilt last season. He played two seasons at Virginia Tech before that, averaging 5.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists across both years with the Hokies.

Utah State will have six returners from last year’s squad — Drake Allen, Tucker Anderson, Jordy Barnes, Isaac Davis, Mason Falslev and Karson Templin. They will be joined by five incoming freshmen, Brayden Boe, Adlan Elamin, David Iweze, Elijah Perryman and Kingston Tosi. These three transfers round out the 15 roster spots the Aggies will be allotted given reports the university will be opting into the House Settlement deal.
