This week’s Cache Valley Media Group Boys and Girls Prep Players of the Week are Sky View football quarterback Jack Clark and Green Canyon girls volleyball setter Elly Giordano. The Prep Player of the Week awards are presented by BlueSky Restoration and Center Street Grill.
Giordano is the second Green Canyon girls volleyball player in as many weeks to earn CVMG Girls Prep Player of the week and helped keep Green Canyon undefeated with the Wolves going 5-0 this past week, including wins over Ridgeline and Sky View. She set two season-high marks against Richfield, tallying 26 assists and seven service aces. For the week, Giordano averaged 4.8 assists per set and 2.0 digs per set while also getting a handful of kills each game in limited attacking attempts.
Clark dominated in Sky View’s 62-7 win over Logan on Friday, accumulating six total touchdowns. He had five TDs through the air, throwing scoring strikes to five different players. Clark crossed the goal line once himself on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter.
