Logan Hammer, two former Aggies, qualify for U.S. Olympic trials | Sports
LOGAN — Three Utah State athletes, current and former, have qualified for the United States Olympic Team Trials and a chance to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Logan Hammer, the one current student, qualified in pole vault with former Aggies Chari Hawkins (heptathlon) and Dillon Maggard (5,000 and 10,000 meters) all posting qualifying marks in their respective events. Hammer set a new personal, Utah State, and Mountain West record in pole vault by clearing 5.62 meters at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships. He later finished 16th at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships to earn Second-Team All-American honors.
