LOGAN — Three spring sports had their playoff brackets set with the release of the final RPI ranking by the Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) Wednesday morning. Local Region 11 teams across baseball, softball and boys volleyball now know the path to a 4A state championship.
All three sports have seen dominance come out of Region 11, most notably with softball and boys volleyball.
The Ridgeline softball team came in ranked first in the RPI, narrowly beating out Desert Hills, a team the Riverhawks defeated 12-1 last week in Millville. In boys volleyball, Logan was the highest rated among Cache Valley teams, ranking second overall behind Orem which posted the best record in 4A this year. Bear River topped all Region 11 teams in baseball, ranking fifth in the final RPI.
