Utah State football will hold light practice in lieu of annual Spring Showcase on Saturday | Sports

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State football will hold a light practice in lieu of its annual Blue vs. White Spring Showcase on Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium on Saturday, April 20. The team will begin warming up at 12:30 p.m., and the practice will conclude around 1:30 p.m.

“Due to injuries and attrition this spring, the number of available players is not where we need it be to hold a traditional spring game, so we will hold a light practice,” said USU head coach Blake Anderson. “Everyone that is available to practice will practice, but it will be in drill settings.”

Fans will have the opportunity to win prizes during the practice with various on-field competitions.

Following the practice, Utah State’s football players will participate in a youth clinic on the field for all kids ages 12 and under.

Gates at Maverik Stadium will open at noon. The South Ticket Office at Maverik Stadium, as well as concessions on the south concourse, will also open at noon. Ticket office representatives will be available to answer any ticket-related questions and assist with football season ticket renewals.

Fans will also have the opportunity to buy official Utah State gear at its Spring Sale on Friday, April 19, at the Stan Laub Indoor Training Center from 3-8 p.m. Items for purchase will include Nike shoes and cleats, custom jerseys, helmets and more.
