LOGAN — Utah State halted its two-game losing streak with a thrilling double-overtime victory over San Diego State. Now, with bowl eligibility firmly in sight, the Aggies (4-5, 2-3 in MW play) will aim to down the visiting Nevada Wolf Pack (2-7, 2-3). USU has performed significantly better at home, gaining at least 500 yards of offense in each of its four home games. There’s a good chance that continues against a Nevada team that’s struggled on both sides of the ball this season. Utah State gymnastics inks four future Aggies – Cache Valley Daily

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head gymnastics coach Kristin White has announced the addition of four future Aggies. The list includes Kaylie Medrano, Olivia Orengo, Reagan Terry and Lundyn VanderToolen. “This is an exciting day for the Utah State gymnastics team,” White said. “Rachel (Slocum), Robert (Ladanyi), Daniel (Barclay) and I are proud to announce and officially welcome these four talented young women to our program. We are excited to celebrate their commitment and dedication of their outstanding club careers as they take the next step in their academic and athletic careers here at USU.” According to College Gym News Ratings, Utah State has the 22nd-best recruiting class in the nation. The Aggies are the only team from the Mountain West ranked in the top 25. “Our team will be graduating a very strong senior class and we know these four gymnasts will immediately make a great impact on the future success of our program,” White said. “Lundyn, Olivia and Kaylie will prove to be strong all-arounders, whereas Reagan will help contribute on three events. Utah State soccer announces seven signees to 2024 class – Cache Valley Daily

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head soccer coach Manny Martins announced USU’s 2024 recruiting class Thursday morning, as the Aggies are set to welcome in seven new student-athletes next season. This signing class features seven players from four different states. Signees include forward Mia Mullenmeister (Mitchell, South Dakota), midfielder Rachel Reitz (Lynnwood, Washington), midfielder Kaeda Wilson (Sandy, Utah), midfielder Austin Miller (Providence, Utah), midfielder Ellie Hendrix (St. George, Utah), midfielder Faith Hines (Kapolei, Hawaii), and midfielder Ally Yoshimura (Honolulu, Hawaii). “I am very pleased with the work put forth by our staff to assemble the 2024 class,” Martins said. “In this class, we welcome seven talented, high-character competitors who will immediately add to our already very competitive environment. I cannot wait to have them join us on campus.” Joining the Aggies from South Dakota is forward Mia Mullenmeister out of Mitchell High School. The six-time letterwinner scored 43 goals and added five assists for 91 points during her senior campaign. Mullenmeister was named to the all-state and all-district first teams, and holds the school record for most goals in both a season and career. Utah State men’s basketball announces pair of signees – Cache Valley Daily

File photo LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head men’s basketball coach Danny Sprinkle announced the signing of Terrence Hill Jr. (Portland, Oregon/Roosevelt High School) and Kase Wynott (Winchester, Idaho/Lapwai High School) on Wednesday. Hill, a 6-foot-3 point guard, prepped at both Roosevelt High School and AZ Compass Prep. He was named second-team all-state and first-team all-league as a sophomore after helping lead Roosevelt HS to a 22-8 record and sixth-place finish at state. “Terrence and his parents are a tremendous addition to the Aggie family,” Sprinkle said. “He is one of the top point guards in the country and will make an immediate impact in our program. He is a tremendous passer and ball handler with great size at 6’3. Along with being a great passer he has the ability to score 30 points and can really change a game offensively. He will give us flexibility as he can play alongside other point guards with his ability to score and create. I would not be surprised if he receives national awards at the end of the season, as I see him as one of the best point guards in the entire country.
