Final RPI and playoff schedule revealed for 4A baseball and softball – Cache Valley Daily

Region 11 baseball and softball teams found out this week where they ranked at the conclusion of the regular season and who they will face in the upcoming playoffs. The Utah High School Activities Association revealed the final RPI rankings of the season for the two sports ahead of the playoffs which begin this week.

Final RPI Rankings for Region 11 Baseball
4-Mountain Crest 17-7
6-Ridgeline 14-10
7-Green Canyon 14-11
8-Bear River 13-9
11-Sky View 8-13
13-Logan 0-19

The baseball playoffs begin Thursday, May 11 and continue on Friday, May 12 at the sites of the higher-seeded teams in the Super Regional. In fact, all Region 11 teams will be staying in Northern Utah for their games in the best-of-three series, and two of the series will involve Region 11 rematches. #4 Mountain Crest hosts #13 Logan, #6 Ridgeline hosts #11 Sky View, #7 Green Canyon hosts #10 Hurricane (6-12) and #8 Bear River hosts #9 Pine View (5-15). In Region 10, #5 Desert Hills (13-11) will have a rematch with #12 Cedar (5-20). #1 Snow Canyon (20-5), #2 Crimson Cliffs (21-3) and #3 Dixie (17-7) all earned first round byes.

Bracket Play will resume for those who advance on May 15-16 at Brigham Young University and then May 17-18 at Utah Valley University, with the championship series to be played at UVU May 19th and 20th.

The softball playoffs begin with Super Regionals at home sites on May 12 and 13 with Ridgeline, Bear River and Desert Hills (18-5) earning first round byes. #6 Sky View will host #11 Dixie (5-17), #8 Mountain Crest will host #9 Hurricane (10-10), #10 Logan will travel to #7 Cedar (11-13), and #12 Green Canyon will travel to #5 Crimson Cliffs (12-7).

Bracket Play will resume for those who advance on May 17-18 at the Cottonwood Softball Complex. The championship series will be played at Gail Miller Field at Brigham Young University on May 19-20.
