LOGAN — Utah State has landed its second transfer in as many days with the addition of Darius Brown II. The 6-2 graduate point guard most recently played at Montana State, then under new Utah State head coach Danny Sprinkle.

Brown played four seasons at Cal State Northridge (the fourth being cut to eight games and qualifying for a medical redshirt), starting 93 of his 96 games played and averaging 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists across all those games. After the 2021-22 season, Brown made the move to Montana State.

In one season with the Bobcats Brown averaged 9.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.8 steals per game while also shooting 46.5 percent from the field and 39.7 percent from three, aiding his team in a second straight Big Sky Tournament championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. Brown was named Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year and also Third Team All-Big Sky.

Brown joins an Aggie roster that had been almost devoid of guards, with redshirt freshman Mason Falslev as the only other guard currently on the team.
