LOGAN, Utah – The Mountain West announced its all-academic teams Tuesday and Utah State had 86 student-athletes recognized from its fall sports of cross country, football, soccer and volleyball. Overall, 44 of the 86 USU student-athletes recognized by the conference are being honored for at least the second time. Of its 86 academic all-MW selections, Utah State had 25 student-athletes from football, along with 21 from soccer, 16 from women’s cross country, 13 from men’s cross country and 11 from volleyball. Men’s and women’s cross country both had the second-most honorees in its sport among all Mountain West schools, while soccer and volleyball both tied for the third-most. Wyoming led the MW with 96 all-academic honorees, followed by Fresno State (95), Boise State (88), Utah State (86), New Mexico (79), UNLV (73), Nevada (70), Colorado State (55), San Diego State (47), San José State (46) and Air Force (39). Hawai’i, which is a football-only member, had 20 all-academic honorees, while Colorado College, a women’s soccer-only member, had 22 honorees. Twelve of Utah State’s 86 student-athletes from its fall sports to earn academic all-MW honors carried a 4.00 grade point average, including five women’s cross country runners in senior Megan Terry (dietetics),
