Utah State women’s basketball announces 2022-23 non-conference schedule – Cache Valley Daily

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State women’s basketball announced its non-conference schedule for the 2022-23 season on Tuesday.

The Aggies’ non-conference ledger will consist of 11 games and one exhibition, including six contests at home and six on the road. The schedule is highlighted by four meetings with in-state opponents.

“From myself, our staff and our team, we are all very excited about the upcoming season,” head coach Kayla Ard said. “Watching this team come together so much already has been so fun to watch. We’re all amped to start competing.”

The 2022-23 campaign opens with an exhibition game against Fort Lewis College on Friday, Oct. 28. The Aggies then host the College of Idaho on Monday, Nov. 7, and Southeastern Louisiana on Friday, Nov. 11, where Ard, a Hammond native and a player at Southeastern from 2004-06, will have the opportunity to coach against her alma mater. Utah State holds a 2-0 mark in season openers under Ard.

USU travels to the southern part of the state to face Utah Tech on Tuesday, Nov. 15, before heading to Jonesboro, Arkansas, to take on Arkansas State on Saturday, Nov. 19.

The Aggies return to the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum to host Ball State on Wednesday, Nov. 23, before heading to California to take on USC on Saturday, Nov. 26.

Utah State opens the month of December by taking on three-straight in-state rivals as USU faces Weber State on the road on Thursday, Dec. 1. The Aggies then host Utah Valley and BYU on Saturday, Dec. 3, and Tuesday, Dec. 6, respectively.

USU closes out non-conference action with a pair of road games, beginning with a stop at LMU on Saturday, Dec. 10. The Aggies’ final game before MW play will be at Eastern Washington on Tuesday, Dec. 20.
