Details and breakdown of Utah State’s 2025 national signing day | Sports

LOGAN – Bronco Mendenhall’s first signing class at Utah State is in, at least the bulk of it, as the football program introduced a total of 36 players on national signing day. Mendenhall also spoke with the media for roughly a half hour discussing these recruits and several other key topics around roster construction and the nature of recruiting and retention in modern college football. Of the three dozen announced incoming players — not including those announced in the early signing period — there are 12 athletes from high schools, seven from junior colleges and 17 transfers from four-year institutions. Easton Stokes, Claire Fischer named CVMG Prep Players of the Week (Jan. 27 – Feb. 1) | Sports

Dominant performances and big wins followed this week’s Cache Valley Media Group Prep Players of the Week. Green Canyon boys basketball point guard Easton Stokes earned Boys Prep Player of the week with Sky View girls basketball center Claire Fischer earned girls Prep Player of the Week. This is the first time Stokes has earned the honor while Fischer has claimed the third of this season. The Prep Player of the Week awards are presented by BlueSky Restoration and Center Street Grill. Stokes set two new career highs and tied another this past week. First, he dished out a career-best 13 assists and tied his career high with five steals in Green Canyon’s win over Mountain Crest. Then, in a de facto Region 11 title game against Ridgeline, Stokes set his second career high with 22 points, along with tallying seven rebounds and seven assists, to help the Wolves secure a statement win over the Riverhawks. Fischer also led her team to a 2-0 week, scoring 16 points in Sky View’s dominant 53-22 win over West Field and then coming close to a 20/20 game when she scored 19 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (plus four assists and two blocks)
