Utah State men’s basketball releases 2025-26 schedule | Sports

It’s finally here. After months of it nearly being done, Utah State has finally released its full 31-game schedule plus two preseason exhibition games.

The Aggies’ season will unofficially begin on Oct. 18 with a home exhibition contest against Seattle. Utah State will play a second exhibition at San Francisco on Oct. 25.

Utah State’s official season opener will be on Nov. 3, a home game against a non-D1 opponent, Westminster. Following that will be the first major test of the season, a neutral-site matchup with VCU in Frisco, Texas. The Rams went 28-7 last year and finished 31st in the NET rankings.

Other highlights of USU’s non-conference schedule include participation in the Shriners Children’s Charleston Classic where the Aggies will be in a four-team bracket, facing Tulane on Nov. 21 and then either Boston College or Davidson depending on the results of the two games (winners play each other, losers face each other). Utah State will play in the Delta Center in Salt Lake City on Dec. 13, taking on Illinois State. And in the middle of conference play on Feb. 14, the Aggies will host Memphis.

Utah State will begin conference play on Dec. 20 with a home game against Colorado State. The Aggies will then spend four of the next six games on the road between Dec. 30 and Jan. 17. Conference play will conclude on March 7 with a home game against New Mexico.

With a 12-team basketball conference and 20-game conference schedule, the Mountain West has returned to the format used for years when it had 11 teams and an 18-game slate. Each team will face nine conference opponents in a home-and-home series and then play the two remaining teams just once, one on the road and one at home. Utah State will face Air Force and San Jose once each, the Falcons on the road (Jan. 6) and the Spartans at home (Jan. 3).
