Fall Camp officially got underway this week for Utah State football. The players and coaches are all in Logan and ready for the final stretch of the offseason leading up to the season/home opener against UTEP on Aug. 30. On Tuesday, nine players and coaches were interviewed by Cache Valley Daily along with a Bronco Mendenhall 30-minute press conference with all media. Calhoun makes transformational gift to the Wayne Estes Fund | Sports

LOGAN, Utah — Utah State head men’s basketball coach Jerrod Calhoun and his family have announced a transformational commitment to the Wayne Estes Fund, pledging to match every new gift up to $150,000 in support of recruitment and retention efforts for USU’s men’s basketball program. The Wayne Estes Fund, originally established to provide operational support for men’s basketball, was recently restructured and will now support retention and recruitment efforts following the approval of the House settlement. Additionally, fans who want to support men’s basketball but don’t meet the minimum donation requirement for the Wayne Estes Fund will have the option to contribute at a different price point to a recruitment and retention fund designated for men’s basketball.  Aggie Nation is encouraged to make financial commitments to retain current USU student-athletes and recruit the next group of Aggie leaders, who will go on to impact Logan and the Cache Valley communities as graduates. “Utah State University and the city of Logan are special, and our men’s basketball program and student-athletes play a pivotal role on campus and in the community, creating lasting memories for generations of Aggies,” said Calhoun. “In the new era of intercollegiate athletics, it is paramount that Aggie Nation

Northern Utah United returns from global soccer experience in Scandinavia | News

LOGAN — A group of young soccer players from Northern Utah recently returned home after representing their community on the world stage at the 2025 Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden. Gothia Cup opening ceremony Wade Olsen The Northern Utah United (NUU) 2011 boys team competed in the Gothia Cup—the largest international youth soccer tournament in the world—with more than 1,900 teams from 74 countries participating this year. The tournament, held annually since 1975, has become a global celebration of youth, culture and sport. For the NUU athletes, the trip was about much more than soccer. “The Gothia Cup is truly a unique event that embodies the power of sport to unite young people from all corners of the world,” said Jeff Ginn, director of coaching for Northern Utah United. “Our team not only competed at a high level but also made incredible memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.” Wade Olsen During the trip, the team toured cultural and historical sites across Denmark and Sweden, enriching their experience beyond the field.
