How former Aggies fared in NBA Summer League | Sports

The five former Utah State men’s basketball players participating in this year’s NBA Summer League, which wrapped up on Sunday, got a decent amount of time to showcase their skills though most struggled to make a significant impact. Steven Ashworth (Indiana), Darius Brown (Cleveland), Great Osobor (Houston), Max Shulga (Boston) and Josh Uduje (San Antonio) were each part of Summer League rosters and all appeared in at least four games. Uduje had the honor of appearing in two different summer leagues, the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer League. Brown, Shulga and Osobor received the most playing time, each averaging north of 16 minutes per appearance. Osobor posted the highest scoring average (7.4 points) and had the best overall game with his 16 points, five rebounds and two steals against the Trail Blazers on Thursday. Brown and Shulga were both great distributors, each averaging exactly 3.8 assists per game, but struggled in terms of efficiency with Brown shooting 17.4% and Shulga managing little better at 24.1%. Ashworth produced solid averages based on his limited playing time, averaging 3.8 points and 2.4 assists in just 10 minutes per game.
