Utah State football holds annual Pro Day | Sports



LOGAN, Utah – Utah State hosted representatives from 18 National Football League teams as 12 former Aggies auditioned for a career in professional football during USU’s annual Pro Day at the iFIT Sports Performance Center and the Stan Laub Indoor Training Center on Thursday.

The 12 former Aggies that participated included: offensive lineman Falepule Alo (who measured at 6-foot-1.5″, 294 pounds), offensive lineman Wyatt Bowles (6-5, 306), long snapper Jacob Garcia (6-0, 233), punter Stephen Kotsanlee (6-0.7, 206), linebacker Jon Ross Maye (5-10.7, 225), offensive lineman Cole Motes (6-5.3, 296), placekicker Elliott Nimrod (5-11.7, 178), quarterback Spencer Petras (6-5, 234), wide receiver Jalen Royals (6-0.1, 204), safety Torren Union (6-0.6, 205), safety Jordan Vincent (5-9.5, 192), and wide receiver Kyrese White (5-10, 186).

In addition to having their official heights and weights measured, the former Aggies were put

through a variety of speed and strength tests, including the 225-pound bench press, 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, three-cone drill, broad jump and vertical jump.

Royals, who participated in the 2025 NFL Combine last month in Indianapolis, Indiana, tested out with a 36.0-inch vertical jump and a 10-1 broad jump.

White tested extremely well as he benched 20 reps at 225 pounds, recorded a team-best 37.5-inch vertical jump and leaped an Aggie-best 10-4 in the broad jump. White ran a 4.56 second 40-yard dash, which was the fastest on the team.

Alo led the way in the bench press, racking up 26 reps at 225 pounds. He recorded a 28.0-inch vertical jump, an 8-3 broad jump, and ran a 5.12-second 40-yard dash.

Nimrod tested well as he recorded a 37.0-inch vertical jump, leaped a 9-7 broad jump, and ran a 4.58 second 40-yard dash.

Vincent recorded a 36.5-inch vertical jump, posted a 9-11 broad jump, and ran a 4.63 second 40-yard dash.

Bowles bench-pressed 225 pounds 21 times, recorded a 26.5-inch vertical jump and a 9-0 broad jump. He ran a 5.19-second 40-yard dash.

Other top performers included Petras, who notched a 27.5-inch vertical jump and an 8-11 broad jump. Union had a 28.5-inch vertical, a 9-0 broad jump, and ran a 4.95-second 40-yard dash. Garcia had a 30.5-inch vertical, an 8-5 broad jump, and a sub-5.20 second 40-yard dash. Motes posted a 27.5-inch vertical jump, an 8-7 broad jump, and a sub-5.30 second 40-yard dash. Ross had a 31.0-inch vertical jump, a 9-4 broad jump, and ran a 4.88 second 40-yard dash.

The prospects also conducted a variety of position-specific on-field drills during the day.

Up next is the 2025 NFL Draft, which will be held April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
