LOGAN, Utah – Three home games during the first four weeks of the season highlights Utah State’s 2025 football schedule as the Mountain West announced dates for the upcoming conference slate.
Utah State, who is entering its 13th season in the MW, will have its eight league games spread out over 12 weeks from Sept. 13 through Nov. 29.
Utah State’s 2025 MW schedule will include home games against Air Force (9/13), San José State (10/18), Nevada (11/8) and Boise State (11/29), and road games against Hawai’i (10/11), New Mexico (10/25), UNLV (11/15) and Fresno State (11/22).
Utah State will not play Colorado State, San Diego State and Wyoming during the 2025 season.
Utah State will also have two byes during the year on the first weekend in October and the first weekend in November.
Utah State opens the season with consecutive non-conference games as it hosts UTEP on Saturday, Aug. 30, and plays at Texas A&M on Saturday, Sept. 6. The Aggies and Miners will be meeting for the first time since the 2014 New Mexico Bowl and fourth time overall, while USU will be facing Texas A&M for the second time.
Utah State begins its conference slate by hosting Air Force on Saturday, Sept. 13, which is the second-earliest date USU has ever started MW play. Overall, it will be the 13th meeting between the two programs. It will be the seventh time that Utah State has played its first MW game of the season against Air Force, including its fourth at home. It will also be the sixth time that USU begins MW play at home as the Aggies are 7-5 all-time in MW openers.
Following its league opener, Utah State will conclude the non-conference portion of its schedule with a home game against McNeese on Saturday, Sept. 20, and a road contest at Vanderbilt on Saturday, Sept. 27. It will be USU’s first-ever meetings against the Cowboys and Commodores.
Following a bye to start the month of October, Utah State will play its first MW road game at Hawai’i on Saturday, Oct. 11. USU will be facing the Rainbow Warriors for the 20th time, including its 11th meeting on the Islands. The series with Hawai’i is the 18th-most played in school history.
Utah State’s final two games during October include a home game against San José State on Saturday, Oct. 18, and a road game at New Mexico on Saturday, Oct. 25. USU will be facing the Spartans for the 43rd time and the Lobos for the 32nd time, as its series with SJSU is the fifth-most played in school history, while its series with UNM is the 11th-most played.
The Aggies will begin the month of November with another bye before hosting Nevada on Saturday, Nov. 8, in what will be the 28th meeting. The series between the Aggies and Wolf Pack is the 14th-most played in school history.
Utah State then plays back-to-back road games for the only time during the season at UNLV on Saturday, Nov. 15, and at Fresno State on Saturday, Nov. 22. USU will be facing the Rebels for the 28th time and the Bulldogs for the 34th time, as its series with Fresno State is the 10th-most played in school history, while its series with UNLV is the 15th-most played.
Utah State will conclude Mountain West play and the regular season at home as it hosts Boise State on Saturday, Nov. 29. USU will be facing the Broncos for the 30th time in what is the Aggies’ 12th-oldest rivalry.
The 2025 schedule will play out over 15 weeks, concluding with the Old Trapper Mountain West Football Championship Game on Friday, Dec. 5. The contest will feature the two teams with the highest Conference winning percentages. The team with the highest Conference winning percentage will host the championship game.
The 2025 Mountain West football membership includes Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Hawai’i, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, San José State, UNLV, Utah State and Wyoming.
With the 2025 MW schedule announced, the Conference’s national television partners, CBS Sports and FOX Sports, will now initiate a selection procedure that will include shifting some games to non-Saturday dates. That will be followed by the identification of network outlets and kick times.

2025 Big Blue Club memberships are now available. Season ticket holders with Club 1 or 2 seats or West Level 1-5 seats are encouraged to renew their priority seat requirements before the March 31 deadline.
