Top teams in upcoming 2025 boys and girls basketball playoffs are from Region 11 | Sports



The final RPI rankings for high school basketball were revealed Saturday, February 8 for 4A boys and girls teams. The #1 teams for girls and boys basketball come from Region 11: Green Canyon for the boys, Ridgeline for the girls.

The final rankings, released by Utah High School Activities Association, set the brackets for the state playoffs with first and second round games being played at home sites. The tournament will then shift to Cedar City on the campus of Southern Utah University February 20-22 for the Quarterfinal, Semifinal and Championship games.

Final RPI rankings for Region 11 Boys:

  • 1-Green Canyon
  • 3-Ridgeline
  • 13-Sky View
  • 16-West Field
  • 17-Bear River
  • 20-Logan
  • 21-Mountain Crest

Green Canyon and Ridgeline earn first round byes and will host games in the second round.

Final RPI rankings for Region 11 Girls:

  • 1-Ridgeline
  • 6-Sky View
  • 10-Mountain Crest
  • 15-Green Canyon
  • 22-West Field
  • 23-Bear River

Ridgeline and Sky View earned first round byes and will host games in the second round.

#16 West Field (10-13) vs #17 Bear River (9-14) boys basketball

Friday, February 14

#1 Ridgeline (24-0) vs winner of #16 Uintah (10-12) vs #17 Stansbury (9-13) girls basketball

#6 Sky View (16-7) vs winner of #11 Tooele (16-7) vs #22 West Field (6-17) girls basketball

Saturday, February 15

#1 Green Canyon (22-1) vs winner of #16 West Field (10-13) vs #17 Bear River (9-14) boys basketball

#3 Ridgeline (18-5) vs winner of #14 Hillcrest (15-8) vs #19 Jordan (9-14) boys basketball

Cache Valley Media Group, on its family of radio stations and Cache Valley Daily, will attempt to broadcast and cover as many Region 11 playoff games as it can.
