Two of the most dominant players of this year’s basketball season return to be named Cache Valley Media Group Prep Players of the Week. Logan boys basketball center Reed Olsen won his fourth Boys Prep Player of the Week award this winter while Ridgeline girls basketball guard Emilee Skinner won her fifth Girls Prep Player of the Week honors.
The Prep Player of the Week awards are presented by BlueSky Restoration and Center Street Grill.
Olsen dominated his competition in Logan’s win over Mountain Crest, putting up 25 points and reeling in 17 rebounds to help the Grizzlies end their losing streak. He also had another double-double — one of his now 13 on the season — against Bear River with 12 points, 10 rebounds.
Skinner recorded two different kinds of dominant games. First she had a 20/20 game with 24 points, 20 rebounds and also eight assists against Judge Memorial. Skinner followed that up with a triple-double with 26 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists at West Field. Skinner was also named a McDonald’s All-American this week.
