In a week full of stellar performances on the field, the winners of the Cache Valley Media Group Boys and Girls Prep Players of the Week for the second week of September are Bear River football running back Reggie Hess and Green Canyon girls soccer midfielder Chloe Sadler. The Prep Player of the Week awards are presented by BlueSky Restoration and Center Street Grill. The Boys Player of the Week, Hess, powered the Bears to their first win of the season in a road win over Burley north of the Utah border. He tallied 252 all-purpose yards (150 rushing, 102 kick return) and two touchdowns. Those two scores were his best of the game and the most important to Bear River’s victory. Hess ran back a 95-yard kick return to give the Bears the lead in the fourth quarter and then added another crucial 72-yard rushing score that sealed the win. Sadler, as the Girls Player of the Week, had an amazing points total in Green Canyon’s dominant victory over Preston.
