No. 11 Utah State soccer dominates at Utah Valley in 3-0 win | Sports

OREM, Utah – No. 11 Utah State soccer (6-0, 0-0 MW) earned a commanding victory Thursday evening at Clyde Field in Orem, defeating Utah Valley 3-0. With the win, the Aggies remain perfect as they improve to 6-0 on the year.  Utah State wasted no time getting on the board, as junior midfielder Kaitlyn Richins struck first with a highlight goal under three minutes into the contest. Richins took a set piece following a Wolverine foul, lobbing a ball toward the goal from 60-plus yards. With a single bounce, the ball went beyond the outstretched fingertips of the UVU keeper and into the back of the net.  In the 40th minute, USU struck again when sophomore forward Kate Christian received a touch outside the 18-yard box, before weaving between three Wolverine defenders and netting her first goal of the season. Just three minutes later in the 43rd minute, Christian tried for another, but her shot was deflected by the keeper and back to the feet of freshman forward/midfielder Austin Miller, who launched it back for a goal of her own to make it 3-0.  SCORING SUMMARY 2:43 –    Kaitlyn Richins (USU) Assist: None 39:03 – Kate Christian (USU)                 Assist:

Utah State Football vs #13 USC: Preview, Predictions, Depth Chart, How to Watch | Sports

LOGAN — Utah State got a win in its season opener against Robert Morris, but Week 2 will bring a far more challenging foe in the form of historic college football powerhouse USC. The Trojans appear to be back to their dominant ways after a program slump in the 2010s in the post-Lane Kiffin/Pete Carroll era (although a “slump in the 2010s” for USC still meant finishing in the Top 25 five different times, the Trojans were simply not as nationally relevant the same way they had been in decades past). Last week in their own season opener on Sunday, USC got a win over at-the-time No. 13 LSU in a neutral-site game in Las Vegas. After that win, the Trojans took over ownership of that No. 13 ranking in the AP Poll and will host Utah State for their home opener of 2024. Here’s everything you need to know, from how to watch or listen, Utah State’s depth chart, key storylines and predictions for this Saturday’s matchup. Game Info: Kickoff: 9 p.m. (Mountain Time) Location: LA Memorial Coliseum (Los Angeles, CA) TV Broadcast: Big 10 Network Radio: KVNU (102.1 FM, 610 AM) KVNU Aggie Gameday pregame show with Stockton Jewkes and
