Top 25 Aggies of 2024 – #11 Stephen Kotsanlee | Sports

The next entry in the Cache Valley Media Group’s Top 25 Aggies of 2024 is the punter for Utah State football, Stephen Kotsanlee, one of the most experienced players on the team and one looking for a bounce-back season. Only one other current Utah State player has started more games in an Aggie uniform than the 39 Kotsanlee has (Jacob Garcia, who has 40). His tenure dates all the way back to 2020 when he eared Honorable Mention All-Mountain West honors as a true freshman, averaging 40.7 yards per punt throughout the six games he played in that year. Since that season, Kotsanlee has steadily increased his punting average throughout his career and in 2022 set career-highs with 22 punts of 50 yards or longer and 24 punts downed inside the opponent’s 20-yard line. In 2023, Kotsanlee averaged 43.4 yards per punt through six games before an injury sidelined him for the latter half of the season. Having now fully recovered, Kotsanlee will suit up one more time for the Aggies. The Top 25 Aggies is based on a vote from members of Utah State media including Jason Walker, Eric Frandsen, Craig Hislop and Ajay Salvesen. A public fan poll
