The number 12 Utah State football player in the Cache Valley Media Group’s Top 25 Aggies of 2024 is one of the longest-tenured players on the team — center Falepule Alo. Alo has been a consistent feature on the Aggies’ interior offensive line, playing at center and both guard spots across his four seasons at USU. He played his first snaps for USU back in 2020, starting four times in five appearances. Overall, Alo has appeared in 32 games for the Aggies including 15 starts. Alo is fourth on the team in total FBS snaps played with nearly 1,700 total in his career. The Top 25 Aggies is based on a vote from members of Utah State media including Jason Walker, Eric Frandsen, Craig Hislop and Ajay Salvesen. A public fan poll was also used with its results being used as a fifth ballot. Utah State will open conference play the first week of October and it will be arguably the Aggies’ toughest opponent on its Mountain West slate: the Boise State Broncos. It’s an opponent that’s proved to be USU’s biggest challenge and one they’ve rarely managed to conquer. This game piles on the trend of tough opponents in Utah State’s first-half schedule, but one positive is that this game will come after a bye week and a chance for the Aggies to rest after a road game at Temple following back-to-back games against top-30 foes USC and Utah.
