Utah State’s 2024 football schedule became quite a bit more clear Thursday with multiple announcements regarding the Aggies’ opponents next year. First, a three-year series with the University of Utah was announced followed by the Mountain West releasing an outline of which opponents teams will play in the conference schedule of the upcoming season. Matchups with Oregon State and Washington State, with whom the conference has agreed to a short-term scheduling alliance with, were also revealed for conference members. The three-year series with the Utes will begin in 2024 with matchups also played in 2026 and 2031. Next year’s game will be held in Logan with the latter two games played in Salt Lake City. The 2024 matchup is scheduled for Sept. 14 with the 2026 game to be held on Sept. 19 and in 2031 on Aug. 30. This agreement will re-start the oldest college football rivalry in the state of Utah, with the series dating back to 1892 and featuring 112 total games played.
