Aggies outlast Marshall with massive late push in game one of Cayman Islands Classic – Cache Valley Daily

In the second half of Utah State’s 83-60 victory over Marshall in the first round of the Cayman Islands Classic, the Aggies faced multiple pushes by the Thundering Herd as the Sun Belt team tried to overcome the 15-point lead USU built early in the second half. But Utah State weathered them all and delivered a knock-out blow in the closing minutes of the game to earn its largest margin of victory against a Division I team this season. How to watch, projected starters, injuries – Cache Valley Daily

A three-games-in-three-days stretch awaits Utah State in the Cayman Islands, starting with a matchup with Marshall. Who the Aggies play after that will depend on the result of not only USU’s game, but also results across the board, as is typical of non-conference multi-team events. If the Aggies beat Marshall, they’ll play the winner of Florida International and Akron, but if they lose they’ll face the losing team from that same game.
