Brynnlee Hart, Bryton Williams earn CVMG Prep Player of the Week honors for Sept. 11-16 – Cache Valley Daily

Two Sky View athletes earned this week’s boys and girls Cache Valley Media Group Girls Prep Players of the Week, Presented by McDonalds. Brynnlee Hart of the Bobcats volleyball team is the girls player of the week and Bryton Williams of the football squad is the boys player of the week.

Hart led Sky View as the only Region 11 team to go 2-0 last week with big wins over Ridgeline and Green Canyon. She averaged nearly 10 assists per set along with nearly three digs per set. Hart also had three service aces in the Bobcats’ win over the Riverhawks.

Williams played a critical role in Sky View’s thrilling 35-34 victory over Bear River in the Bobcats’ homecoming game on Friday. The senior caught a season-high 11 passes for a career-high 190 yards along with a pair of touchdowns.

Other nominees this week included Audrey White (Green Canyon girls volleyball), Chloe Sadler (Green Canyon girls soccer), Hadli Barrera (Mountain Crest girls soccer), Alyssa Anderson (Ridgeline girls volleyball), Owen Olsen (Bear River football), Dewey Egan (Green Canyon football), Keaton Pond (Logan football), Thatcher Phelps (Mountain Crest football), and Caysen Dana (Ridgeline football).

Tune in to the Full Court Press on 106.9 FM and 1390 AM each Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. to hear the announcement of the Players of the Week throughout the 2023-24 high school sports year.

Candidates for the Player of the Week award were nominated by Cache Valley Media Group staff and voted on by all CVMG high school broadcast staff and crew, including “Hurricane” John Newbold, Rex Davis, Jason Walker, Josh Anderson, Trent Carter, Josh Theurer, Dave Simmons, “The Patriot” Nick Zollinger, Jake Ellis, “The Coach” John Olsen, Stockton Jewkes, Adam Loertscher and Eric Frandsen.
