Green Canyon seeking rebound year under first-year coach – Cache Valley Daily

Last year was the first time in Green Canyon’s (admittedly short) history where the team won fewer than three games. In preseason there were high hopes, maybe a first-ever Region 11 title was in the cards. Instead, a fifth-place finish in the standings and a worst-ever 1-9 record. But with a new coach, and hopefully some better health and luck in 2023, this could be a solid rebound season. Top 25 Aggies of 2023 — #11 Colby Bowman – Cache Valley Daily

LOGAN — Counting down to No. 11 on the Cache Valley Media Group Top 25 Aggies of 2023 and it’s wide receiver. The junior is transferring to Utah State from Stanford after getting his degree there. A four-star recruit coming out of high school, Bowman spent four season with the Cardinal, appearing in 26 games in the span. In 2022 Bowman appeared in 11 games, catching seven passes for 44 yards. According to head coach Blake Anderson, Bowman can run a 4.4 40-yard dash which would put him among the fastest players on the team, if not the fastest. Combined with a 6-foot-2, 195-pound frame, Bowman has the size, speed and length to be an All-Mountain West receiver. It’ll just come down to whether the talent he showed coming out of high school will show up in Anderson’s offense. Cache Valley Media Group Top 25 Aggies (revealed so far)

Ridgeline’s one goal is to “win the last game” – Cache Valley Daily

The Ridgeline Riverhawks run onto the field prior to their playoff game against Snow Canyon on Oct. 28, 2023 In the 2022 season Ridgeline had a tough act to follow with the 2021 team posting a perfect season with a 4A state title at the end. Quite a bit of talent from that stellar team graduated but the Riverhawks still pulled through for an 8-5 season and second-place finish in Region 11.
