LOGAN — Sophomore wide receiver Otto Tia comes in at No. 13 on the Cache Valley Media Group Top 25 Aggies of 2023. The former Northridge High School standout is in his third season with Utah State and there are pretty high expectations for the 6-foot-4 wideout.

Tia appeared in 15 game across his redshirt and redshirt-freshman seasons. Last year he played in all 13 games but the majority of his snaps (210 of 254) were on special teams. Tia caught his first (and only) career pass in the First Responder Bowl against Memphis, a nine-yard reception.

Earlier this offseason, head coach Blake Anderson said Tia is “exactly what you want” in a wide receiver.

“He’s big. He can run. He can be physical. He can elevate. He’s got the hands to do the job,” Anderson said. “I think he’s just got take the next step in terms of his confidence level.”
