Top 25 Aggies of 2023 — #14 Cian Slone – Cache Valley Daily

LOGAN — Junior defensive end Cian Slone comes in at No. 14 on the Cache Valley Media Group Top 25 Aggies of 2023. As a transfer from American River College, Slone is expected to make a big impact as an edge rusher this season. A year ago at American River, Slone was a dominant force, ranking second on the team in tackles with 84 while also topping the team with 12.0 sacks and 22.0 tackles for loss. His most prolific outing was against Sacramento City where he has 4.0 sacks and 5.0 TFLs. He also added a game with 4.5 TFLs against Laney College. Head coach Blake Anderson previously compared Slone to former Aggie Nick Heninger, saying Slone “plays harder than anybody we’ve seen on film.” If Slone can play comparably to Heninger, who capped off a three-year career at USU with 20.5 TFLs and 8.0 sacks as part of the Mountain West champion 2021 Aggies, fans will have plenty to be happy about.
