LOGAN — At the number 16 spot on the Cache Valley Media Group Top 25 Aggies of 2023 is senior tight end Josh Sterzer. This season is expected to be his second full season as Utah State’s starting tight end.
Last year Sterzer started in 11 of the 12 games he appeared in, catching 11 passes for 129 yards and one touchdown. That singular touchdown was the first of his career, coming on a 68-yard reception against Hawaii.
Most of the time, Sterzer saw limited targets in his passing snaps. But with head coach Blake Anderson saying he’d like to spread the ball around more and get tight ends involved, Sterzer could benefit from a larger target share along with his notable contributions as a blocker.
