Zee Hamoda enters transfer portal – Cache Valley Daily

LOGAN — Utah State forward Zee Hamoda announced he is entering the transfer portal. He is the sixth Aggie to do so and it puts the cap on a complete exodus of USU’s entire rotation from the 2022-23 team that made the Mountain West Conference Tournament championship game and NCAA Tournament. Hamoda announced his departure on his Instagram account.

Of the eight players who logged at least 400 minutes this season — Steven Ashworth, Taylor Funk, Dan Akin, Max Shulga, Sean Bairstow, Trevin Dorius, RJ Eytle-Rock and Hamoda — all have left the team either through graduation or transfer. Two other players, Rylan Jones and Szymon Zapala, who rounded out the 10 players who scored points for the Aggies this season, have also entered their names in the transfer portal.

Hamoda appeared in all but one of the Aggies’ games last season, averaging 4.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.6 assists. He made big jumps in his shooting percentages last year, upping them to 41.2 percent overall including a very solid 36.8 percentage on 3-pointers.
