LOGAN — New Utah State men’s basketball coach Danny Sprinkle has landed a second commitment for his incoming 2023 class. Former Wyoming and USC forward Max Agbonkpolo, a 6-foot-8, 190-pound wing will play his final season of eligibility in Logan. Agbonkpolo was a four-star recruit coming out of Santa Margarita Catholic High School in the class of 2019, ranking 54th among fellow prospects in the RSCI Top 100 Rankings; his combination of length and athleticism being coveted traits among numerous major conference programs. He committed to and played three seasons at USC. In his final year with the Trojans he played in 33 games (18 starts) averaging 7.7 points and 3.5 rebounds in 21.4 minutes per game. After the 2021-22 season, Agbonkpolo made the decision to transfer to Wyoming, along with USC teammate Ethan Anderson and UCLA wing Jake Kyman, to play for what was hoped to be a Mountain West powerhouse.
