SMITHFIELD – Following the Region 11 Drill Team competition in Tremonton on Monday, the final RPI rankings have been released by the Utah High School Activities Association and they have the Sky View Vistauns in the top spot. Technically, Sky View is tied with Dixie with a 1.40 RPI but is given the top spot due to tiebreaker. The Vistauns were ranked 2nd in the first RPI release of the season on January 10th behind Dixie, but then moved up to 1st in the second release on Jan. 17th and remain there in the release issued on Jan. 25th.
The Ridgeline Aeriettes are ranked third (consistent with how they’ve been ranked all season), followed by the Bear River Hi-Steppers at sixth (consistent with where they’ve been all season), Green Canyon Accalias are seventh (originally ranked 8th but moved up one spot), Mountain Crest Caprielles are 10th and Logan Hi-Lo’s are 11th, both as they were ranked earlier in the season.

The state semifinals and finals take place at Utah Valley University on February 2nd and 3rd. Schools compete in three different categories: Military, Dance and Show. Besides being judged in those three competition styles, each school will also receive a score for their overall performance.
Sky View is placed in Pod 1, Ridgeline, Bear River and Logan will be placed in Pod 2, with Green Canyon and Mountain Crest in Pod 3. The schedule of events for each school are as follows:
