Karson Templin, a three-star power forward out of Lovejoy High School in Lucas, Texas, announced his commitment to play basketball for Utah State. By the time of his commitment to the Aggies, Templin reportedly had scholarship offers from UNLV, UVU, Abilene Christian, Incarnate Word, Indiana State, Louisiana, Sam Houston, Toledo and UMBC. On his social media accounts on Oct. 17, Templin said he’d narrowed that list to Utah State, UNLV and UVU. According to the Dallas Morning News, Templin averaged 14.2 points and 9,3 rebounds in his junior season. The same publication also named Templin District 10-5A MVP for 2021-22. He was also named Defensive Player of the Year in his district as a sophomore in 2020-21. Utah State now has three incoming players for its 2023 class.
