LOGAN – For his performance in the second week of Region 11 games, Bear River running back Tydon Jones has been selected as the Cache Valley Media Group Region 11 Player of the Week.

The Bears were coming off a tough 43-14 loss to Green Canyon on Sept. 9 and were then tasked with going to Logan for a chance to end a three-game losing streak. Jones, who had rushed for just 54 yards in his previous two games combined, exploded for 199 rushing yards and two touchdowns. The sophomore’s performance drove Bear River to its first win since Aug. 19 and evened the team’s region record to 1-1.
