Salt Lake City finished 3rd overall (behind Los Angeles and Boston, respectively) after high ranks with Accessibility to an NBA Stadium (1st overall) and Lowest Minimum Season Ticket Price for College Basketball (tied for 4th). The study gave more than twice as much weight to cities in proximity to an NBA franchise. For those cities with NBA franchises, the study considered the team’s performance level, historical value (NBA and conference championships, hall of fame head coaches), fan engagement and average ticket price, among others. For college basketball cities, the study examined performance levels of teams, conference championships, fan engagement, minimum season ticket prices, number of coaches in the past 10 years, stadium capacity and more. Provo ranked 59th overall thanks to the Brigham Young University Cougars. LOGAN, Utah – Utah State had a pair of softball players recognized with all-Mountain West accolades on Wednesday, as voted on by the league’s nine head coaches. Senior catcher Gabriella Jimenez was named first team all-MW, while senior pitcher Kapri Toone earned second team honors. Jimenez leads the Aggies and ranks seventh in the Mountain West with a .686 slugging percentage in conference play. Jimenez has hit nine home runs in league play in 2022, good for first on the team and tied for first in the MW. She also leads the Aggies and is tied for fifth in the league with 20 RBIs, and is first on the team and third in the MW with 48 total bases in league play. Defensively, Jimenez is tops in the league in gunning down runners stealing with 12 putouts in MW action. In all in MW play, Jimenez has batted .271 (19-of-70), including nine homers and two doubles, and has drawn four walks. Defensively, she has recorded 74 putouts and 23 assists. Toone leads the Aggies in conference play and ranks third in the MW with a 1.83 ERA. She has held opponents to a .251 batting average, good for eighth in the
