Utah State gymnastics finishes third at tri-meet in Washington – Cache Valley Daily

SEATTLE, Wash. – Utah State junior Rebecca Wells and freshman Brie Clark stood atop the podium in two events as the Aggies finished third overall (195.775) in a tri meet against Washington (196.825) and No. 20 Stanford (196.425) on Sunday afternoon at Alaska Airlines Arena.   Utah State’s finish avenged an earlier victory over Stanford back in January, as the Aggies posted a 196.350-195.725 over the Cardinal in a quad meet in Tucson, Arizona.   No. 16 Utah State (9-8, 3-4 MRGC) opened the meet on bars and was led by sophomore Brianna Brooks, who made the most of her 20th birthday by scoring a 9.875 on the event to tie for second overall. Brooks scored a 9.800 or higher on all three events that she competed in during the meet.   “It was a good birthday and I had fun competing,” Brooks said. “The girls were so fun today.”   She was followed by Wells with a 9.825, freshman Molly Arnold with a 9.775, sophomore Eve Jackson with a 9.750 and junior Grace Rojas with a 9.725 as the Aggies got off to a rocky start with a 48.475.   The Aggies bounced back in the second rotation on beam with

He said the Oklahoma City Thunder helped so much on stopping the All-Star pick-and-roll combination of guard Donovan Mitchell and center Rudy Gobert that it left him room to shoot comfortably. Bogdanovic scored 35 points to help the Jazz defeat the Thunder 116-103 on Sunday night. Bogdanovic’s previous career high for made 3s was eight — a total he had reached by the end of the third quarter.
