This is the second time this season and in his career that Thompkins has won the MW weekly award. Overall, this is Utah State’s sixth weekly honor of the season, and its 40th in its ninth season in the league. Also on Monday, Thompkins was tabbed the America First Credit Union USU Student-Athlete of the Week. He was named the College Sports Madness MW Offensive Player of the Week on Sunday, as well. (AP) — Damir Kreilach scored in stoppage time to put Real Salt Lake over Sporting Kansas City 1-0 on Sunday night and clinch a berth in the playoffs on the final day of the regular season. Real Salt Lake (14-14-6), the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference, will play second-seeded Seattle in the first round. Sporting KC (17-10-7) went into the day with a chance to clinch the No. 1 seed, but fell to No. 3 and will play sixth-seeded Vancouver. Kreilach put away a volley off a bicycle kick by Justin Meram from point-blank range to make it 1-0 in the fifth minute of stoppage time to keep Real Salt Lake’s season alive. David Ochoa had four saves for RSL. The 20-year-old goalkeeper in his third MLS season has four career shutouts, all in 2021. (AP) — Cole Anthony scored 10 of his season-high 33 points in the fourth quarter and keyed a game-closing 24-11 run that helped the Orlando Magic rally past the Utah Jazz 107-100 on Sunday night. Trailing by as many as 13 points in the third quarter and down 89-81 with eight minutes remaining, Anthony heated up and got plenty of help from R.J. Hampton and Wendell Carter Jr. as the Magic ended a two-game losing streak. Orlando also snapped a five-game skid against the Jazz that dated back three seasons. “The team just came and really fought tonight,” said Anthony, who topped his previous season-best of 32 points and scored 24 of his 33 points in the second half. “Just a big shoutout to the team because that was a good (win) against a really good team.” Carter had a season-best 22 points and 15 rebounds.
