ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – All five of the Utah State scoring runners were among the top-19 finishers and senior Katie Haviland placed 10th overall to help lead the 28th-ranked Aggie women to their best-ever finish at the Mountain West Cross Country Championships on Friday morning. Utah State finished with a team score of 73 points on the UNM North Golf Course to place second ahead of No. 12 Colorado State, which took third with 75 points. New Mexico, the top-ranked team in the nation, captured its 14th-consecutive Mountain West title as the Lobos swept the top-five scoring positions to record a perfect score of 15 points. “The women ran really well,” said USU head coach Artie Gulden. “They were focused on trying to beat Colorado State and did it.
